Downpipe Repairs & Replacements

Water Not Getting Away From The Roof?

Downpipes are what take the water from the gutter down to the drain. When one is blocked, split, or too small for the roof feeding it, the gutter above it overflows even when it is perfectly clean.

That water then runs down the wall or pools at the base of the house, which is the last place you want it sitting.

Cleared, Repaired & Replaced

Get The Water Where It Should Go

We clear, repair and replace downpipes, and add extra ones where the roof area needs more than what is there.

We also check what the downpipe drains into, because a blocked stormwater pit or line will back the downpipe up no matter how good the pipe itself is.

We work on downpipes and the stormwater they feed across Melbourne's northern and western suburbs. Contact us today for a free quote.

Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A single downpipe is a small job. Replacing several, or adding new ones where the roof area needs them, costs more. Height and access matter too. We will look at it and give you a price.

  • Usually the downpipes. Either they are blocked, or there are not enough of them for the amount of roof draining into that gutter. It can also be the stormwater line below backing up.

  • It depends on the roof area feeding each length of gutter. A lot of older homes were built with fewer and smaller downpipes than the same roof would get today, which is why they struggle in heavy rain.

  • Into the stormwater system, and that is worth checking as part of the job. We handle both the downpipe and the stormwater it runs into, so a problem gets followed the whole way rather than stopping at the pipe.

  • In most cases, yes. Common Colorbond colours are readily available. If the existing run is old the colour may have faded, so a new section will not always be an exact match.

  • Yes. We work across Melbourne's north and west, including Keilor, Sydenham, St Albans, Braybrook, Maidstone, Essendon West, Westmeadows and Greenvale. Give us a call if your suburb is not listed.
