Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on the size of the room, whether fixtures are staying where they are, and what condition the existing pipework is in. Keeping the layout is the cheaper option, and moving a toilet or a floor waste adds work. Send us the plan and we will price it.
Yes. We can work to a builder's program, or coordinate the plumbing stages directly with your waterproofer, tiler and cabinetmaker if you are managing the renovation yourself.
Usually, yes. It depends on where the existing waste runs and whether the floor is timber or a concrete slab. Moving a toilet on a slab means cutting the concrete, so it costs more than relocating a basin or a shower.
The plumbing happens in stages rather than in one visit. Strip out, then rough in before the waterproofer, then fit off once the tiling is finished. The gaps between those stages are set by the other trades, not by us.
We can supply and install, or install fixtures you have already bought. If you are choosing your own, check the tapware suits the setup before it arrives, and we can tell you what will and will not fit.
Yes. We take on renovation work across the north and west, including Keilor, Hillside, Taylors Hill, Maribyrnong, Yarraville, Seddon, Essendon and Moonee Ponds. Call us to check if you are outside that area.
A Closer Look At Our Renovation Plumbing
Bathroom Plumbing
A bathroom is the most plumbing heavy room in the house. Bath, shower, basin, toilet and floor waste all need setting out before anything is closed up, and the falls to the waste have to be right or the floor will hold water.
We handle the full bathroom, from removing the old suite through to fitting the new tapware and testing it.

Kitchen plumbing follows the cabinetry. The sink, mixer, dishwasher and any filtered water tap all need their connections landing where the new joinery allows, which is rarely where the old ones were.
We plumb new kitchens to the cabinet plan and connect the appliances once the bench is in.

Laundries get reworked more often than people expect, usually to free up space or move the trough. That means relocating the washing machine taps, the waste point and the trough connections.
We install and relocate laundry plumbing as part of a rebuild or on its own.

Rough in is the stage that decides whether the rest of the renovation runs smoothly. Water and waste are set out to the finished tile position, not the frame, and everything is pressure tested before the walls close up.
We rough in bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and extensions to the approved plan.

Fit off is the stage you actually see. Tapware, mixers, wastes, the toilet suite and the shower all go on once the tiling and the cabinetry are finished, then everything is tested and checked for leaks.
We fit off renovations we have roughed in, and we can also fit off work another plumber has left at rough in stage.
