Is Your Toilet Running Or Leaking?

A toilet that keeps running after you flush is wasting water the whole time, and it is easy to stop noticing the sound.

A weak flush that needs two goes, a button that sticks, or water pooling around the base are all worth getting looked at. Water at the base in particular can be getting into the floor underneath.

Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

  • It depends what has failed. Replacing the parts inside a cistern is at the cheaper end. A pan that has to be lifted and resealed, or a full suite replacement, costs more. Tell us what it is doing and we will price it before we start.

  • Almost always something inside the cistern has stopped sealing, so water keeps trickling through into the pan. It is usually a straightforward repair and worth doing quickly, because it runs constantly until it is fixed.

  • It can be. It might be a seal that has failed, or it might be coming from the waste connection underneath, which is a bigger job. Either way, water sitting there will get into the floor, so it is worth looking at early.

  • Most toilets can be repaired if the pan and cistern are sound and the parts are still available. Once a cistern is cracked, or the suite is old enough that parts are hard to find, replacing it is the better spend.

  • Yes. We can install a suite you have already bought, or supply and install one. If you are buying your own, send us a photo of the existing setup first so we can check the waste position will suit it.

  • Yes. We work right across Melbourne's north and west, taking in Keilor, Sydenham, Delahey, Hillside, St Albans and Deer Park, through to Essendon, Niddrie and Moonee Ponds. Give us a call if your suburb is not listed.
